Application Procedures

Application Form:
All applicants must complete an application form and submit supporting materials and documentation.

Eligibility:
The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities between the ages of 20 – 32 as of October 11, 2009.   Former First Prize winners of SAIPC are not eligible.

Application Deadline:
Applications must be completed, signed and postmarked no later than March 31, 2009.  Applications submitted without the required enclosures will not be considered and will be disqualified.  Mail applications to: SAIPC, P.O. Box 781146, San Antonio, Texas 78278  USA.

Repertoire:
With the exception of the commissioned work, the rest of the repertoire is at the contestant’s choosing.  If the contestant wishes to be considered for any Best Performance Award, the appropriate work(s) must be included in the repertoire for the Semifinal and/or Final Round.  Compositions must be listed in the order of performance for each round.  The time limit for each round includes both the time between movements and between compositions, as well as the actual performance time of each composition.
