SAIPC Community Outreach through
The Music Ambassadors Program (MAP)
SAIPC continues its third year of our popular Music Ambassadors program for our community’s enjoyment. Ambassadors represent SAIPC to showcase the positive experiences music can bring to people of all ages. Ambassadors must be 19 years of age or younger. Candidates come to us recommended by their piano teachers, and are selected by a panel of judges for a term lasting from September 2016 through August 2017.
In 2017, these outstanding young pianists will expose a wide and diverse audience to great music: Andrew Li. Mark Rogers, Chloe Castillo, Erin Guetzloe, Elisabeth Wang, Breanna Humphrey.
Ambassadors could be asked to play seasonal music or a short recital, to attend or participate in a master class, or to speak with young persons about how they chose to play piano. They might play for large crowds or small, and/or they could be the “opening act” at SAIPC-sponsored concerts by professional pianists. Music Ambassadors receive certificates and are recognized in SAIPC program books.
